Description
The Lew Electric SH-1102-SMB is a shallow, heavy-duty stamped steel concrete floor box designed for strength, flexibility, and ease of installation in concrete flooring applications. This two gang, divided, electrical floor box is fully adjustable and perfect for a 2.5″ to 3″ concrete pour. It offers 2 1/4″ of pre-pour adjustment and 1/2″ of post-pour adjustment using just a screwdriver—making leveling and alignment simple even after the concrete has set. Providing a spacious 29.5 cubic inches of interior space per gang, the Lew Electric SH-1102-SMB offers ample room for wiring and device installation. The box includes multiple conduit knockouts—3/4″, 1″, and 1.25″ — to accommodate a variety of wiring configurations. A protective concrete cap is included to keep the box clean and debris-free during concrete pouring.
For carpeted installations, pair the box with the optional CF-1100 Series carpet flange (sold separately), which adds 3/8″ of height to account for carpet and padding. For tile or other flush installations, the 1101-DBE Series tile (sold separately) must be used. To finish installation, two 1100 series covers are required.
The Lew Electric SH-1102-SMB concrete floor box is ETL listed for United States and Canada installations, conforming to UL Standard #514A and CSA Standard #C22.2 #18 and meeting all applicable electrical safety standards.
